Cascade
A puzzle of flowing energy. Wire up splitters, delays, dividers and banks so power reaches every Target before your turns run out — across Calm, Standard and Volatile networks.
How to play
Cascade is a turn-based puzzle about routing energy. Every network has one or more glowing Sources and one or more Targets that need power. Each turn a Source pushes out 4⚡, split across its wires, and energy travels one hop at a time toward the Targets. You never move energy by hand. You spend a few action points rewiring and reconfiguring the parts in between, then press End turn to let the pulse flow.
Every network runs left to right, from Source to Target. A signal's path through it might look like this:
The network
Sources, Drains and Targets are fixed: the parts between them are yours to rewire and reconfigure (each node takes up to three outputs):
Reach the quota
Each network hands you a few action points per turn: every wire you add or cut, and every part you reconfigure, spends one. Deliver each Target's full quota of energy before the turn limit runs out and the network stabilises. Three difficulties (Calm, Standard and Volatile) dial up the size, the number of targets and how tight the turn budget is. Lean on Preview flow to see next turn before you commit, Undo turn to take it back, and a few free Hints when you're stuck.
Clear a network fast and with little energy wasted and it's rated up to three stars. Spin up a new network any time, pick your difficulty and seed, or replay a seed to try for a cleaner solve.
Tips
- Route wires clear of Drains, or leave a Drain starved with nothing feeding it.
- A Delay on one line lets two streams hit a Merge on the same turn for the sync bonus.
- Send a Capacitor or Merge burst into a Resonator to cash in on the spike.
- Keep any single wire under 15⚡ so nothing overloads, and rest amplifiers before they burn out.
- Watch a Target's per-turn intake: dump too much at once and the surplus is lost.
