Confluence
A tidy merge puzzle. Combine three matching pieces to fuse them into the next rank, and set up chains where one merge triggers the next. Pick a player and board size, then chase your best.
How to play
Confluence is a merge puzzle. You're handed one piece at a time (with the next two shown so you can plan ahead) and you tap or click any empty cell to drop the current one in. When three matching pieces come together, they fuse into a single piece of the next rank, and if that lands beside two more of its kind the merge chains, rippling up the board for a much bigger payoff.
Set up those chains and your score climbs fast.
Climb the heat ramp
Every piece is one rung on a single ladder. Colour rides a cool-to-warm ramp and the form gains a side each rank. A slate circle warms all the way up to a magenta star at the top:
The higher the rank you fuse, the more it's worth.
Chain for more
A merge frees the cells it consumes and drops a fresh piece where they met. If that new piece completes another trio, it merges again. One drop can ripple several ranks up the board. Two or more merges in a row throw up a chain flash, and the longer the chain, the bigger the score.
When does it end?
Your game, your way
Before you start, pick a player and a board size, from a cozy 5×5 up to an epic 8×8. Each player keeps its own best score, saved in your browser, so every game is a run at your own record, no account needed.
Tips
- Leave room to build: a full board has nowhere for a chain to grow.
- Keep your highest pieces together in a corner.
- Hold a merge back a turn if it sets up a longer chain.
