How to play

Inkshot is an inky arcade on soft paper. Aim and shoot: tap or click a spot and a shot of ink flings from the nib toward it. Your shot arcs as it flies, and where it lands it splashes and stains, spreading across the paper.

Every round is 90 seconds. Splash the wobbly targets to score, keep the ink flowing to stay ahead of the clock, and your best is saved in your browser, no account needed.

Bank your shots

A shot doesn't stop at the first thing it hits: it ricochets off the walls and the ink blobs, and every bounce it makes before it lands doubles its value, up to eight times over. A well-read bank shot is worth far more than a straight one. Chain hits quickly to stack a streak bonus on top, and note that every third shot splits into extra pellets on its first bounce.

Pickups

Dashed blots drift onto the page now and then. Splash one for a quick +50 and the boon it carries:

Hourglass: adds ten seconds back to the clock.

Ink freeze: stops the clock and the board for a few seconds while you line up.

Twin nibs: fires two shots at once for a stretch, so every flick counts double.

Heavy ink: loads one weighty shot that smashes clean through blobs and targets instead of stopping.

On the page

The cast, left to right: the nib you fire from, a shot in flight, a wobbly target, an ink-blob obstacle to bank off, a roaming smudge and a paper tear.

Every so often the page throws a curveball: a blot swarm of tiny targets rains down for a few fast points, or a paper tear opens: fire a shot into one rip and it warps out of its twin across the page.

Mind the smudge

Kill it with a banked or heavy shot

A gray smudge sometimes appears and prowls the paper. Hit it with a three-bounce shot or a heavy shot and it bursts for a big +500. Catch it with a weak, straight shot instead and you lose points, and it only grows. Save a heavy-ink pickup for the moment it shows up.

Tips

Line up a shot that stains more than one target at once.
A firm, well-aimed flick beats a wild one.
Bank off a wall or blob to double your points before you land.
Watch how the ink spreads: the splash reaches further than the hit.
