How to play

Meet Cute is a hand-drawn notebook puzzle about two doodles — one in blue pen, one in red — trying to reach each other. You never drag them. Instead you turn the whole page: tap ⟲ / ⟳ (or press ← / →) to rotate everything a quarter-turn, and gravity pulls the doodles — and every loose thing — straight down. Land the pair side by side and they meet.

Each turn is a move. Solve a page in as few as you can: come in at or under par for the full three stars.

You don't move the doodles — you turn the page. Rotate, and gravity tips both pens down the sheet until they settle in the same row. Bring them together and a heart pops.

How a turn plays out

Every quarter-turn runs the same three beats — the trick is choosing the rotation whose landing lines the two up:

Turn the page
Gravity pulls
They settle
Side by side ♥
Tape sticks forever
A strip of tape is a solid ledge — but anything that comes to rest right beside it is glued there for good, unmoved by every later turn. That cuts both ways: pin one doodle down as a fixed anchor for the other to fall against, or stick a monster in place to make it harmless. Plan for it — once something is taped, it's taped.

On the page

The doodles — blue and red. Get them to rest in neighbouring squares and the page is won.
Pencil wall — solid. Nothing falls through it, so it's a ledge you can catch a doodle on.
Ink pit — a doodle that drops into the ink is lost, and the page with it. Keep the pair clear of it.
Smudge — holds a doodle up for one landing, then crumbles away. Don't count on standing there twice.
Tape — a solid ledge that glues whatever lands next to it in place permanently (see above).
Holes — come in a linked pair. Fall into one and you drop straight out of the other, then keep falling.
Scribble monster — let a doodle settle beside an untaped one and it's snatched. Tape it down first to X out its eyes.

30 pages

The notebook runs to 30 hand-tuned pages, opening on a bare sheet with just walls and building up through ink, smudges, holes, tape and monsters all at once. Every page is solvable at par. Jump around with the page picker (▤) and restart any time (↺) — chasing three stars on every page is the real game.

Tips

  • One turn moves everyone — a rotation that helps blue can drop red into trouble. Solve for both at once.
  • Clear the hazards first: tape a monster or route around a pit before you line up the meeting.
  • Use a wall, a taped doodle, or a strip of tape as the ledge that stops a doodle sliding too far.
  • A smudge is a one-time floor — plan to leave before it crumbles.
