Snack Stack

A hand-drawn physics stacking game. Drag wobbly, mischievous blocks into a tower past the cloud line and hold it there while they yawn, shove and wander off. Feed a tantrum-throwing block a crayon to calm it down.

How to play

A block waits on the little shelf. Drag it out onto the grass and stack it: the blocks have real weight and wobble, so build a base that won't topple. Take the waiting block and a new one appears in its place.

Stack the blocks past the dashed cloud line, then hold the tower there (steady, above the line) for two seconds to lock it in.

Build, then survive

Once your tower settles above the cloud line for two whole seconds, the round flips to Survive: keep it up there until the timer runs out and you win the round.

Hold the line
The clock only ticks while the tower's top is above the line. A brief dip (grabbing a block, a little wobble) just pauses it. But a real collapse (below the line for more than a moment) resets the timer to full, so restack fast.

Meet the blocks

These blocks are alive, and they are not professionals. Each has a personality that acts up at the worst moment:

z
Sleepy: dozes off and goes slippery, so the tower slides.
Grumpy: shoves the blocks next to it. “MOVE IT!”
Ticklish: gets the giggles and wiggles in place.
Wanderer: decides to go exploring and walks off the edge.
Drama: picks a fight with a neighbour; both shake it out.
Giggly: can't help a little hop. “boing!”

Feed the tantrums

When a block is about to misbehave, a warning pops over its head with a short fuse. Head it off with a snack: blocks love eating crayons.

Click a crayon to arm it, then click the naughty block. It munches the colour and turns sweet: calm and well-behaved for a good while.

Your crayon tray restocks one colour every ten seconds, so you'll never run dry for long:

Round after round

Clear a round and the blocks demand a bigger tower: the cloud line rises, the survive timer grows, and the tantrums come thicker and faster. It goes on as long as you can keep the pile standing: no account, nothing to save, just one more stack.

Tips

  • Lead with the wide, flat blocks: a broad base holds far more than a tall, narrow one.
  • Feed a block the instant its warning appears; a fed block stays calm for ages.
  • Don't panic at a wobble: a quick dip only pauses the clock; only a real drop resets it.
  • Keep the tower centred over the base so a shove or a hop doesn't tip it.
