Sumi
A meditative ink puzzle across 100 pages. Place limited drops of ink; each blooms outward through the paper to reach every blossom, without ever touching a vermilion seal.

How to play
Sumi is a quiet puzzle about ink on paper. Each page hands you a small palette of ink drops, each a fixed size. Tap an empty square to set a drop; the ink blooms outward through the paper, spreading a number of squares equal to its size. The task on every page is the same: reach every blossom, and never a seal.
2
A drop of size 2 blooms two squares out in every open direction, threading up to reach a blossom.
On the page
Blossom: reach every one with ink to complete the page.
Vermilion seal: off-limits. A drop whose bloom would reach a seal is refused (it flashes red), so route your ink around it.
Wax: blocks the flow; ink cannot cross it.
Ink: already-placed ink also blocks later blooms, so the order you play matters.
100 pages
The book runs to 100 pages, opening on calm 5×5 boards and growing to 12×12 with palettes of up to seven drops. Every page is guaranteed solvable: the art is placing your limited ink so it threads between the seals and still reaches every last blossom.
Tips
- A small drop slips into a gap a large one would overflow.
- Place ink beside a seal first: its own body walls the seal off from later blooms.
- Work backwards from a lonely blossom in a tight corner.
