Tether
A minimalist sliding puzzle. Tiles slide until a wall stops them, and tethered tiles move together — stopping the moment either one is blocked. Line everything up to solve each level.
How to play
Tether is a sliding puzzle with one twist. Tap a tile to select it, then swipe or press an arrow to slide it. A tile doesn't step one square — it travels across the whole board and keeps going until something stops it: a wall, the edge of the board, or another tile. The walls are your brakes, so you aim at them to park a tile exactly where you want it.
The tether
Some tiles are joined by an ultramarine tether (and wear a matching dot). Tethered tiles move together as one rigid body — and they stop the instant any one of them is blocked. A tether can bind two, three or more tiles, and later boards carry more than one tether at once, so the order you move them in matters.
The pieces
Seven waters, 100 levels
There are 100 hand-built levels, and every par is a proven minimum — the fewest slides the puzzle can be solved in. They open on calm 5×5 boards and deepen tier by tier to a churning 11×11:
Tips
- Plan the last move first, then work out how to set it up.
- Use a spare tile as a temporary wall — its own body is a backstop.
- Remember a tether is only as free as its most-blocked tile.
- Beat par, not just the level — chase the perfect line.
